Everything the Expanded licence allows, and everything it does not. This is the same text that appears in the licence document you receive when you buy.

$399 one-time (€369 in euros).

  • Good for: Retail & event screens, out-of-home and film festivals.
  • Not for: Games, TV, radio, OTT/CTV, theatrical release or live performance.

What it covers

  • Everything included in the Digital license.
  • Video content displayed on screens in physical retail environments: storefront digital signage, point-of-sale monitors, in-aisle product screens, shopping-mall displays, showroom screens and lobby or waiting-room loops.
  • Video content displayed at live events and professional venues: conference keynotes, trade-show booth video, corporate summits, product launches, exhibition-hall installations and award-ceremony montages.
  • Out-of-home advertising: digital billboards, transit placements (bus wraps, subway screens, airport displays, in-flight entertainment), fuel-pump screens, elevator screens and place-based digital media networks, up to $2,500 of total media spend per campaign.
  • Film festival submissions and screenings: the submission copy, official screening prints, and promotional clips tied to the festival run.
  • YouTube Content ID claims are released per video: link your channel, submit the video that uses the track, and the claim is cleared in about three days, so that video keeps its monetization. Unlisted videos qualify, so a claim can be cleared before you publish. Claim clearing is available while a subscription is active, and permanently for tracks bought with a one-time licence.
  • Worldwide territory, in perpetuity.

What it does not cover

  • This license covers video content displayed in physical spaces. It does not cover live performance of the work, or use as background music played in a venue.
  • No broadcast television or radio.
  • No OTT, CTV or VOD streaming platforms.
  • No theatrical distribution of a film. Festival rights cover the festival run only; a subsequent streaming or theatrical release requires an All-Media license.
  • No advertising campaign above $10,000 of total media spend, and no out-of-home campaign above $2,500.
  • No use in a video game - a game is licensed per registered title, under a Game Track or Game Soundtrack license.
  • No sublicensing or resale of the music as a standalone product.
  • No use of the music to train AI or machine-learning models.

If your use falls outside this, you are not stuck - move up a rung, or use Request Custom Quote for anything the self-serve licences do not reach.
